Blood Vinyl

Wayne Coyne and The Flaming Lips seem to enjoy pushing the limits of their music as well as their packaging—take, for example, last year’s gummi skull release and you’ll understand what I mean. Most recently, Coyne and co. have infused the blood of their collaborators (in this case, Nick Cave, Erykah Badu, Ke$ha, and Chris Martin from Coldplay) into a very limited edition liquid-filled vinyl for a Record Store Day release entitled, “Heady Fwends.” The album is limited to 10 copies and has a $2,500 price tag.
